tidy carnage is an innovative and unique theatre company based in Glasgow.

The company creates contemporary theatre that shares space with new text, dance, music and multimedia. We are interested in stories of love and loss; stories of memory and misunderstanding. We are passionate about the blank space on the page and the gaps not yet filled; collaborating with writers to bring to life a whole world around and within their work.

Formed in 2012 by director Allie Butler, tidy carnage has continued to grow and develop into a company with a strong vision and aesthetic which is brought to the stage across Scotland and the UK. The company works within various art forms; engaging exciting artists of different disciplines and creating performance through a collaborative devising process. tidy carnage approach the world from a feminist point of view and actively seeks out female artists to collaborate with.

tidy carnage have been awarded funding from Creative Scotland to develop and tour our work in 2015/16. Previously the company has won awards from the Arts Trust Scotland and Ideas Tap.
